EdVisto’s pedagogical advisor, professori and director of the University Consortium of Pori, Jari Multisilta held a presentation last week at the Interactive Media & Games seminar at Stanford University. The topic of the presentation was Learning through Collaborative Video Storytelling: Inspiring Creativity, Co-Creation and Global Collaboration. Multisilta talked about the research behind EdVisto, where digital storytelling has been proved to advance students’ 21st century skills. In his presentation, Multisilta discussed further about how video stories and EdVisto can be used also in corporate education solutions.
Multisilta held a second presentation at the University of Pepperdine, in West Los Angeles, in the “Distinguished Visitor Discuss Education Research, Policy and Practice” series. Part of the event was a panel discussion, in which education experts also from Kenya and Chicago, besides from Finland, were present.
EdVisto gained attention also at the Silicon Vikings Event, EdTech Journeys, which Jari Multisilta attended. Multisilta was interviewed by Silicon Vikings about his views on the research origin behind the company DiSEL21 as well as about EdVisto’s future ambitions.
